The recently discovered corona virus has dominated both everyday life and the news during the spring of 2020. The spread of the virus has been labelled a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Different measures have been taken around the world to stop the rampaging virus and to prevent its spread. The present situation, whereby the disease is affecting people all over the world, countries are closing their borders and authorities restricting everyone’s mobility dramatically, is in many ways unique. We are now documenting it for the future.

In the collections of the Institute for language and folklore, there are historical records of people’s memories of earlier pandemics. For instance, there are legends about great catastrophes and individual narratives about the changing conditions of life in general, as well as particular memories. In this questionnaire, we wish to document how people in Sweden are experiencing the ongoing corona pandemic. We hope that you would like help us by contributing with your story.
